It's becoming outdated and is losing it's relevance as a tool for extracting current cult members. If it doesn't become easily accessible to the general public in the very near future, it will be worthless to the owners of the copyright. It is already becoming useless to activists who still want to use it.

Availability Crisis of Conscience.
by Ben131895 inmost of us are desperately waiting for the availability of a legal crisis of conscience.
deborah dykstra provided us with two updates.
on december 12, 2015 there was a clear statement about the copyright which stopped all illegal activity in spreading electronic versions & prints.. finally, she promised a new update by or before may 6.. so far no new update.

For My Kids
by myjourney ini haven't been on here much, but every so often i try and keep up with the discussions.
i'm sure this topic has been talked about before, so my apologies in advance if i'm repeating.. a little about me.... i'm a non baptized jw married to a devout jw.
both my husband and i were raised in the organization.

I'm an unbaptized born in. My position isn't quite the same as yours. I introduced my wife to the cult, then never got baptised myself.
You have to be very careful not to portray yourself to your children as the enemy. They are already well indoctrinated, so announcing yourself to be the Watchtower's predicted agent of Satan will not get you a result that you want. Your best chance of rescuing your children, is while they think you are trustworthy. Don't spoil that chance.

Once you identify yourself as the evil one sent by Satan to lead them astray, your family members will shut you out and your best chance of helping them leave is gone.
Consider playing the long game and being the last one to leave.

I'm getting baptized
by BlackWolf ini know i've started similar topics before but this time i'm serious.
my parents have been constantly pressuring me and after yesterday's watchtower study they asked me if i was going to be baptized this summer... and i said yes.
i probably should have thought about it more before making a final decision, but they're pretty much forcing me to do it anyway.

The best thing I never did was get baptized. My relationship with my parents wasn't great, but it was better than it would have been if I was eventually shunned for DF/DA, especially for them when they got old and their Jehovah was still stuck in the privy. -

Gorby says goodbye
by Gorbatchov inmy eyes for ttatt opened in 1995 with the generation change and the wt magazine stated "some witness thought that the generation started in 1914".
since 1997, with internet at low speed, i followed h2o hourglass, www.xjw.com and later on www.jehovahs-witness.net.. did a bachelor and post bachelor since then.. now, nearly completed with fading, i feel it's time to go on with my life and do some other things, spending more time with my wife abd children instead of thinking about jw topics in my head.
goal is being a better person and less grumpy at 45.... everything what could be said is already said.

Would we exist if Adam and Eve didn't sin?
by truth doubter inmy son asked me 40 years ago.
should we be glad adam sinned?
because if he hadn't, we would not be the person we are.. any opinions?

It depends on who your ancestors are.
If you were descended from Australian aboriginals, your ancestors would predate Adam by tens of thousands of years, so why would 'original sin' from another continent and culture apply to you and your Australian ancestors?
They are not the only group with a history that predates the watchtower's version of the creation of humans.

We have lots of Monarchs here, especially if I take caterpillars inside in spring so that the wasps don't kill them. At this time of year I'm the bad guy and have to eradicate some to ensure the survival of my swan plants for spring.
We have to be careful pruning and take any chrysalises inside to finish off. Hundreds of Monarchs have launched themselves from my finger for their first flight and they often swoop on me in the garden, I assume because they like the colors on my shirts. I have had an old one land on me and die, which I thought was pretty special.

Because I realized I had been raised in a cult, I knew that everything I had been taught by the cult was questionable. Everything. There was no point in cherry picking what I liked out of it's teachings. I had to start from scratch, questioning the validity of the roots of the cult and the book it was based on.
I suggest you do the same.

jws deny shunning, yet lie to not look bad
by Ghiagirl ini recently decided to take matters into my own hands with my husbands family who have nothing to do with us.
his mom has seen my son twice since he has been born and his dad has never met him.
his family will pop in every few months, on top of that like in my last post ask for for money.

Don't tell them anything, even if they really need to know it. Just hammer them with questions until they have no option but to admit to the doctrine/history/statement they want to hide. If they are dishonest, use questions to corner them into having to admit it, then give them a guilt trip for trying to scam you. -

Did You Get Invited to the Memorial?

I'm not avoided by Dubs, and am welcomed into their homes, but I haven't been invited to a memorial for well over a decade.
